The C.H.A.M.P Mentoring Programme
Welcome to the heart of the Community High Achievers Mentoring Programme (CHAMPS), a powerful partnership brought to life through the compassion and dedication of the Red Foundation Inc. and The Maria Holder Memorial. We are thrilled by your interest in this transformative mentoring initiative, designed to establish connections for young individuals, ages 8 to 17, who face unique challenges and seek the support to thrive. This initiative welcomes all those within the Parish of St. Philip who are eager to embark on this journey of growth and empowerment.
At the core of the Community High Achievers Mentoring Programme lies the profound impact of an adult mentor, devoting valuable time, meeting with our youth for at least two hours every week. Their role is to:

help each young person define their personal aspirations
discover the pathways to make these dreams a reality.
Understanding that the expectations of each child differ, our mentors are devoted to fostering positive development, encouraging them to make choices that inspire confidence and promote a growth mindset. Through engaging activities and meaningful conversations, the mentor becomes a beacon of support, nurturing high self-esteem and planting the seeds of achievement.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of excellence and safety, ensuring that every mentor completes rigorous formal training and undergoes a comprehensive background check prior to working with our youth. This commitment safeguards our mentees and their families, providing peace of mind as they embark on this life-changing journey.
